New Delhi: German luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz on Thursday revealed its business plan for 2025, announcing the launch of 8 new products in India.
The company, which sold 19,565 cars in 2024, marking a year-on-year growth of 12%, also showcased two of these upcoming models. The first is the EQS 450 5-seater SUV variant, priced at INR 1.28 crore (ex-showroom, pan India), with deliveries set to begin in February 2025.
Additionally, the much-anticipated Mercedes-Benz electric G-Wagon, the G580, has been launched in its Edition One specification at INR 3 crore. Mercedes-Benz stated that deliveries for this model, sold out for now, will begin in the October-December quarter of 2025.
Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 Coupe
The Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 Coupe is scheduled for introduction in Q2 of 2025, during the April-June period.
Santosh Iyer, MD & CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, highlighted the increasing demand for premium cars in the country, noting that one in four cars sold by Mercedes-Benz India is a top-end model. “We have the widest and youngest portfolio in the luxury car segment in India,” he said.
Network expansion
The luxury carmaker currently offers 25 models in its India portfolio and operates in 50 cities, with over 125 touchpoints. It plans to expand its network with 20 new touchpoints in 2025, 18 of which will be established during the January-March period.
The company also disclosed that its dealers are set to invest INR 450 crore over the next three years.
Last year, Mercedes-Benz India celebrated 30 years in the country, during which it sold over 2 lakh cars.
